Firefighters coped with frozen and snow-covered hydrants, but had little trouble dousing a fire late Thursday night at a metalworking plant in Geneva.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was reported in Building 4 of Vance Metal Fabricators in the Town of Geneva. Eight regional fire departments and Finger Lakes Ambulance responded and four workers got out safely.
The building is a sandblasting facility. The cause of the fire is under investigation and nobody was hurt.
