Rochester firefighters were called to Knickerbocker Avenue at about 5:30 Thursday morning for the report of a large house on fire. They arrived to find fire on all three floors of the house, and were forced to use extreme caution inside due to multiple holes burned through the floors.
Neighbors said the house was under renovation and was unoccupied. There was extensive damage to the entire building, requiring fire crews to remain on scene for much of the day. Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
