Fire destroyed the Sodus Town Highway Department garage off Route 104 Saturday night, also destroying more than half of the town’s snowplow fleet.
Four of the seven trucks were damaged beyond repair. Other towns have reached out to offer help, but fortunately no snow is in the forecast for more than a week.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
