A fire that destroyed a barn in Ontario County appears to have been started by an overloaded extension cord.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says the fire on Seman Road destroyed the barn and a car parked in front of it, and embers set fire to neighboring fields.
Naples, Bristol and Honeoye Falls fire departments were involved in fighting the main fire and extinguishing the brush fires. Nobody was hurt.
