The Rochester Fire Department says a large 2 1/2 story house went up in flames Sunday evening on Hudson Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to find fire coming through the roof of the building, which had suffered a previous fire and been ruled “unsafe.” Firefighters therefore attacked the blaze from outside, and took nearly three hours to bring it under control.
One person who was said to be in the house when it caught fire was treated for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were injured, and Rochester Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause.
