Fire heavily damaged a house on Avenue D in Rochester this morning, but two people escaped with minor injuries.

 

The fire broke out around 6:00 a.m. near the corner of Avenue D and Bradford Streets.  A man jumped out a back window and a woman suffered a leg injury escaping from a second floor window.

 

Firefighters knocked the flames down quickly, but the front of the house took heavy damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
