Rochester police say two armed parole violators were arrested early Sunday morning when they were observed firing shots during a fight on North Clinton Avenue. At least 21 shots were fired during the struggle.

Police say 25-year-old Anthony Rosario was observed firing a gun and he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm. He was arrested twice last year on felony drug charges, and was previously on both probation and parole.

Officers also tried to detain 25-year-old Malcom Moore, but he ran and officers chased him until he was ultimately taken into custody. He proved to have a loaded handgun as well. Moore has five previous felony arrests including burglary and robbery charges. He was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

An officer was injured during the arrest and required treatment.
