A 13-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by a Lakeshore Fire Department SUV just after noon on Sunday.
Greece Police say the boy was walking on Flynn Road when he was hit, and he was not in the crosswalk. He was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead there. Police have not named the driver of the SUV.
The Hilton Central School District has confirmed the victim is Dominic Cook, a 7th grader at Merton Williams Middle School. Principal Tracie Czebatol said in a statement that he was a wonderful student who brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Greece Police continue their investigation.
