Genesee County authorities say a pickup truck driver is dead after a head-on collision with a garbage truck on Route 5 in Stafford.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Offce says the crash happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. at Route 5 an Clipnock Road. A man in his 20s was driving the pickup east on Route 5 when he crashed into the garbage truck. He died later at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. The trash truck driver wasn’t hurt.
Officials say bad weather could have contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.
