Livingston County authorities say a farm shot and barn in Geneseo were destroyed by fire Monday night.
The flames were reported on Lakeville-Groveland Road about 9:20 p.m. When the Geneseo Fire Department arrived they found the farm market, a barn and several vehicles parked next to them all in flames. The building was a total loss, as were three antique tractors and a dump truck.
No fire hydrants were in the area and water had to be trucked in by tanker. The fire was caused by a malfunction in a heater in the shop. Nobody was hurt.
