The family of a Webster man who died when his riding lawnmower fell off a 30-foot bluff has identified him as Robert Sherelis.
His daughter says Sherelis often worked on the yard of his home on Lake Road above Lake Ontario. Police are still investigating how the mower went over the cliff. The mower was spotted at the base of the cliff about 6:00 Sunday evening, with Sherelis next to it.
Webster Police continue their investigation into how a 79-year-old Lake Road homeowner came to fall over a 30-foot bluff on his riding lawnmower.
Police officials say they haven’t determined exactly when the accident happened or the cause of the victim’s death. They couldn’t say if Sunday’s severe thunderstorms contributed to the accident.
