The Falls Road Railroad, which runs from Lockport to Brockport through Orleans County, is receiving more than a million dollars in state funding.
It’s part of a $25 million rail transportation upgrade announced by the governor’s office this week.
The company plans to upgrade its multi-modal freight terminal in Lockport and replace worn-out ties to upgrade the track along its system so the trains can make better speed.
