Mugshot-Kyle Hunter Gorden dob 10-2-96A 19-year-old Fairport man has been charged with making a terroristic threat. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Kyle Hunter Gorden is being held on $50,000 bail after allegedly telling people he was going to attack a school.

Gorden was arraigned in Perinton and is being held in the Monroe County Jail. The criminal complaint filed against him in court says the Joint Terrorism Task Force became aware of him while investigating a larceny at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Victor. Gorden dropped a “shopping list” that included bomb-making parts, ammunition and knives.

Investigators linked the list to Gorden. They interviewed two of his friends and found they were concerned over statements he’d been making about wanting to kill kids at school.

Deputies say Gorden admitted to making the list. They say he admitted to actually having many of the items on the list and deputies say he’d been actively trying to buy a gun.

Authorities haven’t said what school Gorden planned to attack. The investigation is ongoing.
