The murder trial of Jalen Everett resumes Monday after beginning Friday afternoon with opening statements.
Jury selection was completed Friday morning. Prosecutor Michelle Crowley said the jury will see surveillance video of the mass shooting that left three young men dead and wounded four other people.
She called the director of the Boys and Girls Club where the shootings took place, having him testify to the chaos and trying to help the victims. Defense Attorney Emily Fusco said jurors must not rush to judgement.
Everett is the second of three young men charged in the mass shooting on Genesee Street last year. One man has already been tried and sentenced to life in prison, the third defendant will be tried in January.
