SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras has resigned, saying in a letter to the State University System board that recent events have become a distraction to his ability to do the job.
Documents released by the Attorney General’s office showed Malatras making inappropriate comments about a female coworker. They showed Malatras, a Cuomo appointee and former aide, heckling former colleague Lindsey Boylan. She was the first of 11 women to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment.
The documents released by the AG’s office were part of her investigation into Cuomo, who resigned as governor in August.
