An 81-year-old Irondequoit man has been arrested on three counts of second degree rape after he allegedly abused a 20-year-old mentally vulnerable person.
Nelson Seiler is accused of sexually abusing the young woman in his home three times over the past year. Irondequoit Police Sergeant John Ballesty describes him as a grandfatherly-looking man who’s actually a monster.
Ballesty says the young woman lives in a group home and has the mental capacity of a six or seven year old.
Seiler was arrested by Irondequoit Police after an investigation that was aided by the Bivona Child Advocacy Center.
