The George Eastman Museum has completed a major construction project with its new Tischer Visitor Center.
Located next to the Dryden Theater, the center replaces the museum’s former main entrance with a more visible and accessible entrance for its guests. The center also includes a new cafe and museum shop.
The project was begun by longtime museum patron Thomas Tischer, who donated $1.5 million, which was matched by the New York State Council on the Arts. The ESL Federal Credit Union also bought naming rights to the new main entrance building for $1 million.
