Power is back on today at Eastman Business Park after a problem with the gas lines caused three of the power plant’s boilers to shut down on Monday afternoon.

The natural gas-fired boilers generate electricity, steam and other services for the former Kodak Park complex. EPB officials say an unexpected pressure buildup caused a gas leak that forced the shutdown.

The Rochester Fire Department was called in and about a thousand people were sent home early.
