The cause of a fire that forced six people out of their home in East Rochester remains under investigation.

The fire broke out in a double house on East Elm Street about 3:00 Sunday afternoon. Two people living in the downstairs unit were rescued. Four others got out after smelling smoke.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries, one of whom went to Rochester General Hospital.
