An East Bloomfield man is being held on $50,000 bail after his wife and another man were violently beaten in a parking lot.
New York State Police say 44-year-old David Witherow confronted his wife and another man on Sunday night as the two drove into a parking lot on Elm Street. He allegedly violently assaulted the couple, knocking the man unconscious and continuing to beat him after he was on the ground.
Witherow assaulted his wife when she tried to intervene. She was treated for facial injuries at Thompson hospital in Canandaigua.
The injured man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and has not regained consciousness. He’s currently in guarded condition.
