Two people were shot in Rochester’s East End bar district as police broke up a large crowd early Sunday morning.
Officers and State Troopers began to clear the crowd from East Avenue and Alexander Street when rocks and bottles began to be thrown at officers. That led to the arrest of a 24-year-old city woman.
While that was going on, gunshots were heard. A 25-year-old and a 42-year-old city man were shot, one in the upper body and the other in the leg. Both were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and are expected to recover.
