The Wednesday morning commute was affected by the weather, with icy conditions catching numerous drivers unawares and leading to a string of crashes.
Authorities had to close down I-490 West at I-590 in Brighton, and also I-390 Southbound at Chili Avenue. That happened just before 6:00 a.m. and the roads were closed for more than an hour.
