Governor Cuomo’s office has named Rochester Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Duffy to take over as co-chairman of the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council from Danny Wegman.
Duffy will sit with Monroe Community College President Anne Kress as co-leader of the council, which evaluates Rochester and Finger Lakes Region programs for state economic development funding. It covers a nine-county region around Rochester.
Duffy served as Lt. Governor during Andrew Cuomo’s first term as governor and was mayor of Rochester before that.
