Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President Bob Duffy says the Town of Greece should wait until Friday to see if restaurants with outdoor seating are approved as part of Monroe County’s Phase Two reopening. He says the town shouldn’t be going ahead on its own.
But that’s what Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich says the town is doing, issuing permits to restaurants that want to open with limited outdoor seating. Ten have applied so far.
Duffy says there’s a chance Governor Cuomo will approve restaurants with outdoor seating as part of the Phase Two reopening scheduled to be announced on Friday. He says Reilich should wait for that word to come through rather than going ahead on his own.
