A traffic stop of a driver State Police believed to be impaired led to the seizure of two illegal handguns and the arrest of two men.
Terry Smith, 29, was on drugs and was charged with Driving With Ability Impaired. Troopers found Oxycodone in the car along with a Smith and Wesson .357 pistol and a 9 mm ghost gun. Passenger Akeem Johnson, 27, gave a false name but was quickly identified and arrested as well.
Johnson was on parole for a kidnapping conviction and was just released in November. Both men were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, including for having prior convictions and for having a high-capacity magazine. Both were also charged with drug possession.
