A 23-year-old Rochester man who was part of a major Rochester drug smuggling operation will be going to federal prison for more than 21 years after being sentenced on Monday.

Federal prosecutors say Obed Torres Garcia was part of a cocaine and heroin trafficking network, and fired a gun both at police and at rival drug gang members.

The drugs were being shipped to Rochester from Puerto Rico and sold from various locations around Rochester.
