Government drought monitors say the drought conditions are easing in the southwestern part of New York State…but there’s still no break for the Finger Lakes and Rochester.
As one meteorologist put it, it seems “Rochester can’t buy a rain shower.”
The drought map for New York shows southern Monroe County, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario and the other Finger Lakes counties remain in “extreme drought.” Northern Monroe, Orleans and Wayne Counties are in “severe drought.”
