Rochester police have charged three men with contracting to pave a driveway on Westminster Road but never doing the work after being paid.
Police say the 70-year-old victim paid for the service upfront and called police on July 9th after a considerable amount of time had passed without anything being done
After a three week investigation, police charged Richard Attenborough III of Baldwinsville, David Burch of Rochester and Thomas Stanley of West Roxbury with Grand Larceny and Scheming to Defraud.
Police worked with the New York Attorney General’s Office on the investigation and recommend anyone who believes they’ve been scammed in a similar fashion to call 911 or the New York Attorney General’s Consumer Hotline.
