The driver of a stolen car that crashed into another car on Whittlesey Street, killing mother of five, has been charged with manslaughter.
Rochester police say 20-year-old Taj Isaish-Joshua McMillan-Harris was located and arrested on Frost Avenue Friday evening. They say he’s the driver who ran from the scene of the crash on October 17th.
They say McMillan-Harris took off down Whittlesey Street when he saw police coming his way. The car he was driving slammed into an oncoming car so hard that the other car was shoved 100 feet in the opposite direction before crashing into a garage. That driver, Tishara Pugh, was killed. Her male passenger remains hospitalized in critical condition. Four people from the stolen car were arrested, but McMillan-Harris got away.
Police have now charged him with 2nd degree manslaughter, and four counts of 2nd degree assault.
Police say McMillan-Harris was going at least 80 mph when he struck the other car. He was on probation at the time from a robbery conviction.
