The driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a Rochester police lieutenant as he rode his bicycle in Canandaigua earlier this month has been charged with “Failure to use due care” to avoid the collision. That’s a traffic infraction.
70-year-old James Miller failed to provide enough room to clear the officer as he passed Lt. Aaron Colletti and his son on Woolhouse Road. A mirror on his truck hit them both, killing Lt. Colletti and injuring his son.
