The New York State Department of Transportation is delaying plans to close Route 441 this weekend because of the extreme heat and humidity expected.
The closure is part of a $5 million plan to replace two miles of pavement and the markings between Linden Avenue and Panorama Trail in Brighton and Penfield.
Road work was supposed to take place Friday through Sunday, but with temperatures expected to top 90 each day the state has decided to reschedule to a date that will be a little easier on the crews.
