Three adults and two children escaped a house fire early this morning on Thurston Road.
The Rochester Fire Department says it started about 4:20 in the morning in a house on the 300 block. Smoke detectors woke up the residents and everyone got out OK. Two dogs belonging to the residents were killed in the fire.
The building is a mixed use structure with businesses on the first floor and apartments above. The fire’s cause is under investigation.
