The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a couple walking their dog turned up a human skull in Honeoye Falls.
The man and woman were walking their dog near Carriage Street, in the area of the former General Motors fuel cell center, when they found the skull on Monday. They called 911. Both county deputies and New York State Police investigators responded.
The skull has been turned over to the Monroe County Medical Examiner. Investigators say it’s not clear if a crime has been committed.
