Monroe County’s four DMV offices are moving to an appointment only system as of today.
Anyone who needs license plates, to renew a license or process other paperwork will have to make an appointment, either online through the Monroe County website or by calling (585) 753-1604. If you walk in except to surrender license plates, you’ll be asked to book an appointment and come back later.
This will be at least until April 1st, or the coronavirus danger is reduced.
The offices will temporarily halt processing passport forms, and anyone needing a pistol permit will be asked to leave the paperwork at the county clerk’s office for processing.
