About two-dozen disability advocates returned to Rochester from Washington, DC on Friday, where they were among dozens of people arrested for refusing to leave Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office.

The group from Rochester’s Center for Disability Rights took part in a “die in,” protesting the Senate’s version of a Republican health care law to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

Some 20 Rochester-area people were arrested by Capitol Police during the protest.
