FullSizeRenderMonroe County Legislature Democrats aren’t impressed with County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo’s plan to avoid a future ISquare scandal in the county’s industrial development agency. A statement from the Democratic Minority Office calls them “underwhelming.”

Dinolfo is recommending regular training sessions for COMIDA board members and staff on what is and isn’t ethical. She wants businesses receiving tax breaks of more than $1 million to produce a 20 percent increase in jobs…double the current number.

She wants term limits for board members and all agreements between the agency and businesses receiving benefits to be posted online.

Democrats say that won’t prevent another scandal similar to ISquare, in which information was leaked from the agency to the Monroe County Republican Chairman. They say they’ll introduce their own reform package.
