Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says county Child Protective Services has no reason to believe Hanane Mouhib was a danger to anyone before she killed her seven-year-old son.
Although there’s no reason to believe any mistakes were made, Dinolfo says she’s ordering a comprehensive review of how Monroe County’s various social services interacted with the family of Abraham Cardenas. The Brockport School District first-grader was stabbed to death last week.
Dinolfo says she had a preliminary report on Friday and today ordered a complete review of Department of Human Services and Child Protective Services records. Deputy County Executive Tom VanStrydonck and Human Services Commissioner Crossdale will head the review, along with Mary Whittier of the Bivona Child Advocacy Center.
Dinolfo says she wants the report in 45 days or less.
