As Rochester hospitals grapple with Governor Cuomo’s order to find space for 50 percent more patients, a developer is offering his property at the former Kodak Elmgrove site in Gates for an emergency hospital.

William Huntress of Acquest Development says the 800,000 square foot building has laboratories and a commercial kitchen. He says he’d offer it to the state or federal governments for up to two years, rent free, to help fight the coronavirus. He says it could potentially house hundreds of patients.
