The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how a man came to be killed Monday night while walking on the I-390 expressway.
They say it happened about 10:10 p.m. on the northbound lanes near Chili Avenue in Gates. The identity of the 30-year-old victim has not yet been released and they haven’t figured out what he was doing on the freeway. He was struck by several cars.
All the drivers stopped and cooperated with deputies. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.
