The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight incident in which gunshots were fired in the area of the Village II apartments in Hilton.
A number of people were detained and nobody was injured. There is no current danger to the public due to the incident.
Deputies are still sorting out what happened and no charges have been filed yet.
