Jessica Fox of Penfield is still hospitalized after being struck while walking in a snowstorm at Route 441 and Penfield Road last week. Now the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance video from an adjacent home they hope may help them find the vehicle that hit her.
The screened the 20 seconds of video for reporters. Corporal John Helfer says the video is fuzzy with snow flying in front of the camera lens. But it shows Fox walking into the frame, then a line of vehicles passing by, led by a plow-equipped pickup truck.
Investigators believe that pickup may have hit Jessica Fox and sent her flying into the ditch. Helfer says they hope this will jog someone’s memory and either the driver will come forward or someone will recognize the truck.
