Investigators with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office have charged a Henrietta couple after a child was beaten in their home daycare.
Deputies say Shannon and John Johnson ran Kiddie City Daycare on Thompson Road in Henrietta. They say Shannon Johnson used her hand to spank a child, then her belt to beat the child, causing injuries which the parents spotted and reported. The spanking caused a large bruise on the one year old’s upper right leg, with a welt through the middle of the bruise.
Shannon Johnson was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child, and John Johnson with endangering the welfare of a child.
