Day one of jury deliberations in the Craig Rideout murder case has wrapped, with requests to hear DNA evidence read back, as well as the definitions of the various charges. They’ll resume tomorrow.

Jurrors met behind closed doors to weigh the evidence against Laura Rideout, her sons Alex and Colin, and her boyriend Paul Tucci. They’ll have to come up with four separate verdicts, and Matthew Parinello, Colin Rideout’s defense attorney, says it’s always a concern that jurors might confuse which evidence goes for or against which client.

All four defendants are charged with murder and evidence tampering in the strangulation death last year of Laura Rideout’s estranged husband — Craig Rideout. All four pointed the finger at the others.

Prosecutors say Rideout was killed in his basement in Penfield. His body was found one year ago Thursday in Yates County.
