A third day of searching wrapped up without further sign of two missing snowmobilers in Livingston County.
Sheriff Tom Dougherty says divers went back into Conesus Lake at several points where sonar indicated possible objects on the bottom, but nothing significant was found. The search will resume tomorrow.
Sheriff Dougherty identified the missing men as Christopher Copeland and Jason Fluet, both 40 years old. It’s believed they and their snowmobiles fell through thin ice on Saturday. A search on Sunday located their helmets and tracks leading out onto the ice.
