Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo has chosen County Public Safety Director David Moore to head the County’s new Office of Public Integrity.
Moore previously headed a similar office in the City of Rochester, and is a former Rochester police chief. Moore says he’s excited about this new chapter in his career. He says he’ll be heading a truly independent investigative body which will be available to the public and every county employee who believes they’ve seen an ethical or legal violation.
Creating the office was a top priority for Dinolfo when she took over as County Executive in January.
Moore’s appointment will require the approval of the County Legislature.
