The National Weather Service has issued a warning for strong, gusty winds for Monroe and surrounding counties from about 10:00 Monday morning until early Tuesday morning. At the same time, a strong cold front will drop the temperatures back into the 30s.
Winds are expected to gust over 65 miles per hour, with some forecasts saying as high as 70.
Rochester Gas and Electric says it has pre-staged more than a thousand repair crews around its service area in expectation of falling trees and damaged power lines. These crews are operating one person to a vehicle to maintain CDC recommended social distancing.
