Governor Cuomo took his case for making good state losses from COVID-19 to Washington Wednesday, delivering his briefing at the National Press Club.
After speaking with President Trump, Cuomo said there can’t be a national economic recovery if state and local governments are broke.
Cuomo has said New York is facing a $13 billion deficit because of revenue losses from the coronavirus pandemic. He says the hardest hit states make up one-third of the national economy.
