Uber and Lyft…and possibly other ride-sharing companies…may now set up shop in Rochester and other Upstate New York Markets.
New York’s ride-hailing law now takes effect June 29th after Governor Cuomo signed the bill speeding up the starting date. Lawmakers in the Assembly and Senate wanted the ride-sharing apps available for people to use on the July 4th weekend.
Uber and Lyft, the two main providers, have already held job fairs and seminars in Rochester to recruit drivers.
