New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are imposing a joint quarantine on travelers from states with high coronavirus infection rates.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced late Wednesday morning that travelers from high-infection states like Florida will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival. The states include Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, Utah, and Texas.
The governor also announced that gatherings under Phase 4 of reopening can go from 25 to 50, and houses of worship can go from 25 percent to 33 percent of capacity.
Cuomo says he also spoke with the Yankees and Mets today to confirm spring training will take place in the Bronx and Queens starting July 1. Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker is working with Major League Baseball on health guidelines.
