Governor Cuomo and a delegation including state lawmakers of Puerto Rican heritage accompanied a planeload of relief supplies to the storm-hit island this morning.
Most of the Puerto Rican Assembly and Senate members said they haven’t been able to reach their families since the hurricane.
Governor Cuomo said they were going at the request of Puerto Rico’s governor with supplies and National Guard troops to help clean up the damage from Hurricane Maria, which wrought heavy destruction the length of the island and cut all electric power.
